The sport and leisure provider won the award for its ‘Your Place’ campaign, which unified multiple sub-brands under a single, cohesive identity, positioning Active Dundee's services as a vibrant, community-first brand. Through authentic storytelling and real-life experiences, it highlighted the transformative power of inclusive sport and leisure opportunities. By reshaping the leisure and sport narrative across the city, the campaign inspired meaningful change and established a stronger, more connected brand presence.
Active Dundee partnered with the Dundee based, Altar Agency to curate the campaign and worked with local filmmakers Dylan Drummond at Son of the Sea and Steve Soave at 81 Films to bring participants' stories to life.
Scott Urquhart, Head of Leisure, Sport and Physical Activity Services at Leisure & Culture Dundee, said
"We’re delighted with this achievement and I'm grateful to our incredible team and partners who made this campaign possible. I'd especially like to thank every participant who shared their story and helped show why Active Dundee is their place."
"Our focus is always to make Dundee a healthier, more active city and this recognition highlights the positive difference we’re making for individuals and communities every single day.”
Active Dundee was also nominated and then shortlisted to the top three at the awards in the 'Facility of the Year' Category for Olympia, which has seen a remarkable resurgence since reopening last year, welcoming 313,518 pool visits between April 2024 and March 2025. Additionally, the Active Dundee Membership team were nominated and shortlisted to the top three for 'Team of the Year' after driving a complete rebrand of the organisation's leisure and sport services, which has boosted gym membership by 32% and strengthened brand recognition.
