What else is happening...

  • Local activities running throughout the holidays
  • Opportunities to try new sports in a supportive environment

This suite of activities brings together activities designed to ensure that children and young people who face additional barriers can participate fully in mainstream and targeted Summer of Sport opportunities.

Various events and festivals will be delivered over summer with the focus on creating an inviting and fun environment for children and young people to try sports and engage with local club, community and third sector deliverers to encourage and support participation in sport and physical activity.

This programme will deliver activities for children in P1-P3, supporting the development of physical literacy, confidence and positive active habits from an early age.

Funding has been allocated to 12 local clubs to help them deliver more inclusive activities in local communities.

Active schools and Community Sports Hubs will deliver several programmes and activities with a focus on removing barriers and expanding inclusive community sport.

Active Schools are leading on a Kit for All initiative to support those who would otherwise be unable to participate due to lack of suitable clothing and equipment.

A city wide approach to upskilling delivery staff to improve the quality of delivery and help strengthen capacity for children and young people to participate in sport and physical activity in Dundee.

Summer of Sport activities will be delivered through to March 2027, with information of further activities shared as they are confirmed. Click Contact Us more information.

Active Dundee is also supporting Dundee City Council, club and community and third sector partners to deliver a programme of activities over the summer holidays, which can be found at Dundee Holiday Fun.

Full details of all Active Dundee activities on offer through Summer of Sport will be announced in the coming weeks on this page and on our social media channels @activedundee. Please check back for more information.
