Strengthening Workforce Wellbeing Across Our City
The rules are simple...
- Enter your team: Companies and organisations can enter as many teams as they wish. The entry fee is £2,000 + VAT per team. Any equipment purchased as part of the Active Dundee Business Games will be built into our community focussed programmes across the city.
- Choose your line-up: Different staff can compete in different events, as long as you have enough team members for each sport. All participants should be over the age of 18.
- Practice, practice, practice: Included with your entry is the chance to train across Active Dundee facilities in the lead up to each event. Some of our training sessions will have coach or trainer support, while others will be completely self-guided.
- Have fun: A little competition never hurt anybody... but be sure to keep it friendly!

Participants/teams receive:
- Access to all Business Games events
- Training sessions via our Active Dundee memberships ahead of each activity.
- Inclusion in the Active Dundee corporate discount membership for 12 months.
- Team and individual prizes Recognition as part of a city‑wide wellbeing initiative.
- Organisations may enter as many teams as they wish, provided each meets minimum event requirements. Maximum 10 participants per team.
- To compete for the overall prize, a team must enter all events, although staff can be rotated across events.
- Entry involves a donation/entry fee (varies by year):

- Yes - beginners can take part in any event. Training sessions are provided and mandatory for certain events. All activities will aim to be fully inclusive, regardless of ability and fitness levels.
Events vary by year, but commonly include:
- Table Tennis
- Pickleball
- Football
- Swimming
- Athletics
- Netball
- Fitness Challenge / Hyrox-type workout challenge
Each event page includes:
- Team sizes (e.g. 8 participants split 4 male/4 female)
- Training dates / membership access
- Rules, scoring and format
- Equipment requirements
- Spaces may be limited: participants may be wait listed and randomly selected if oversubscribed.
- No, membership is not required.
- DCC and NHS staff may receive discounted membership.
- Partial attendance is still allowed depending on event rules.
Rules vary by event, but examples include:
- Standard sports rules (e.g. Pickleball / Table Tennis rally scoring to 11).
- Timed fitness challenges with structured movement sequences and penalties for incorrect team sizes or incomplete tasks.
- League based play followed by playoffs (e.g., table tennis/pickleball).
- Active Dundee will provide required equipment (e.g. rackets, shuttlecocks).
- Participants welcome to bring their own equipment, if preferred.
- Participants must wear appropriate footwear (e.g., non-marking indoor shoes).
- Yes, but photography permission forms may be required for events.
- Active Dundee will capture media content and aim distribute within 7 days
